Interstitial Lung Disease
Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) is a large classification of chronic lung disorders creating inflammation in the tissue surrounding the air sacs. Scarring from the inflammation restricts the flow of oxygen into the bloodstream.
ILD, much like cancer, does not have a single cause. The cause may result from environmental factors such as poor air quality or other inhalation exposures. ILD can result from the extended use of a variety of medications or result from an autoimmune disease. This disease can pose unique challenges because the cause is often unknown.
Treatment of ILD is highly individualized. The team at VALDI incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to your care and treatment plan.
